A group of ESO students have enjoyed spending two weeks in Waterford, a city located in the south-east of Ireland. Travelling to a foreign-speaking country has allowed them to improve their English as well as their communicative competence in this language. With this experience, they have surely broadened their mindset living situations in a context to which most of them were not used.
They attended classes in the morning from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm organized in different levels. They also visited several Irish cities such as Dublin, Limerick, Tramore, Kilkenny or Dunmore East and could see the main characteristics of the Irish landscape, people, buildings and culture in general. Moreover, they took part in different kinds of entertaining activities such as surfing, horse riding, Irish dancing, canoeing, tree-top walking or going to the cinema. Finally, the most enriching experience has been sharing all these days with an Irish family and learning about their lifestyle and customs.
